A Whole School Approach to Mindfulness

After a long career in education, Clare is passionate about schools embedding and sustaining Mindfulness as a whole school strategy, so that Mindfulness can benefit the whole community: learners, staff and parents. She is very keen to work with schools that would like to do this and she is actively seeking funding for this work. Please contact Clare to discuss in more detail.

Tailored sessions for schools

Bespoke sessions can be developed to meet the specific needs of students and staff if necessary. Clare can develop MIndfulness training programme according to your school's individual needs and requirements.

Youth Mindfulness Kids Programme

Youth Mindfulness lessons are for primary school children. The Youth Mindfulness Kids programme is a 16-lesson introduction to Mindfulness for 7 to 11 year olds, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning.

  • Its 16 one-hour lessons build up sequentially, introducing and exploring new facets of Mindfulness with each lesson.
  • The first six lessons focus on cultivating intention, attention and attitude.
  • As the course progresses, children then learn to cultivate gratitude, handle difficult thoughts and emotions, and finally develop kindness towards themselves and others.
  • Importantly, the key foundations of Mindfulness - i.e. paying attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity and kindness - are emphasised throughout all 16 lessons.

.b Foundations participants:

Clare introduced Mindfulness to Thornhill Primary School staff over a period of eight weeks. The sessions were so useful and helped us to consider the importance of paying attention and being 'in the moment'. Each of her lessons were calming and supportive and the staff looked forward to that time which they had set aside for their practice.  Since engaging with Clare one of our staff members has trained to deliver Mindfulness in the classroom and we have a highly successful mindfulness club.  Definitely positive for our children! I would recommend that all staff take time out to try these sessions  - Clare will really look after you!
