MBSR - Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
MBSR 8-week Course
This course is for any one who is interested in developing a Mindfulness practice and can be taught to groups of around 8- 20 people. These can be delivered in workplace settings or community based settings.
This is a practical and experiential course, which includes:
• Guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practices
• Gentle stretching and mindful movement
• Group interaction
• New approaches to old patterns of thinking and reacting
• Supported home assignments
• Home practice CDs and weekly course hand-outs
The course consists of a taster session followed by eight weekly group sessions, each 2 hours long, with up to 20 people in a group.
MBSR Taster Session
This taster session offers a basic insight into mindfulness. The
two-hour session can be delivered to small or large groups. It is

Participants will be introduced to what mindfulness is and discuss some of the scientific research behind this very effective approach to enhance wellbeing. There will be opportunities to experience some mindfulness meditation practices that you can start to use in your daily life.
Clare will be available at the end of the session to offer advice and support about what the next steps are by explaining the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction 8 week course and/or seek advice about books to read and CDs that can help you more.
